The pain of regret

Sorry to start off with such a negative subject line but this is actually my state of mind as I write. My mama, Kumarmama passed away yesterday evening after a protracted battle with paralysis. I was to go see him on Sunday morning for Diwali and the New Year but had a bad stomach infection and for three days was grounded at home. After that office started and I thought well I will go see him during the coming weekend. Regretfully I will never see him. Like I found this quote which is so apt “Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable. - Sydney Smith”

I will rue this for the rest of my life.

I agree with this post. I had the same experience with Gautam Kaka, who I would always tell that I'll visit you when I am in Mumbai next.. it never happened.

Yeah and I will carry it on me till I die. Robin Sharma has rightly said The price of discipline is far lesser than the pain of regret. Well that is life.
