Not Just Jazz by the Bay

Not Just Jazz by the Bay is the erstwhile Talk of the Town of yore. What  attracts me to this place is the menu. They have soup, salads and sandwiches for lunch and a buffet at it so you can pig out. The salads are amazing and the choice is worth it. Unlike Nirula's Pot Pourrie in Delhi you don't end up with that "Oh no that same old menu" feeling. The menu is rotated or so I feel. The sandwiches are good too and the vegetarian spread is phenomenal to cater to the Gujju clientele like me (Ethiopians as I prefer to call ourselves .... we Gujjus behave like we have never ever seen food in our lives and are starved day in and out.... No complaining though as I am from the same clan and "Been here done that" applies to me too). While I have not seen Jain menus mentioned, I am sure the sandwiches could be made Jain if the need arises or the demand is made.

Honestly I have yet to come across a decent soup salad joint in Mumbai other than this. There is Ruby Tuesday but the spread is the same day in and out and extremely limited variety. There used to be the erstwhile Golden Gate at Kala Ghoda but that has been renamed, rebranded as something else and I did not find the salad bar the only time I had been there so don't know. If anyone knows of any good salad only joint in Mumbai, please let me know.
