Ginger Vivek Vihar, New Delhi

I am a big fan of Ginger Hotels and this blog post in no way is to berate them. I normally stay at Ginger Rail Yatri Nivas in Delhi which is just outside the New Delhi railway station. Nice, clean rooms, comfortable desks and chairs and clean loos. And at a price which beats others hands down. This time, I was late for booking and was given the option of the newer Ginger at Vivek Vihar. The pricing was more than double but still it was a ginger so plunged headlong. Last evening, I finally arrived. The Location is bad as it is extremely far. Finding the place itself took away half the fun. Being a new property, one would have expected it all to be prim prom which unfortunately it wasn't. The room was smaller than Rail Yatri and the chair was most uncomfortable. They have a restaurant on the top floor which again is nothing to write home about. All in all yes I am staying here for another night as scheduled but henceforth, it Rail Yatri for me. Sorry Ginger the location sucks big time and many finer details which were hitherto ignored now just cannot be for the price I am paying.
