November Rain
No I am not talking about the famous Guns N Roses song from 1992. Today it is raining in Mumbai. What freak weather but it is amazing.... The temperature has dropped and it is so good. Maybe some day the song Sometimes it snows in April - Prince will also come true who knows. Never had a chance to experience snow fall but who knows? As it goes - Never say Never.

Air India v/s Jet Airways
Last night I landed from Delhi by Jet Airways 9W354. The landing was so weird that while landing the plane tilted slightly on the left. The thud with which we landed was terrible and the left tyre was making noises as if it was a burst tyre .... I was scared and staring out of the window to check if any sparks or fire was visible. The plane rolled on making a noise as if the tyre was punctured much to my discomfort and also a lot of other passengers. Much as we malign Indian Airlines / Air India, I would say they land much better than Jet Airways.....

Mobile Phone or branded egg

A new cellular service has been launched in India under the name of MTS.... That is besides the point. I had seen this logo at the back of a bus in Jaipur and had remarked to Harshad who was with me that Jaipur has branded eggs and they even advertise for it. Little did I know then that this was the logo for a cellular service:-)

Indian mentality for a male child

We now go to orphanages to feed children on some occassions such as birthdays. As part of this, yesterday we had been to one in Sion and the trip was very different. It was an orphanage where children were offered for adoption and the surprising part was there were all girls. When will we Indians over come our fetish for the male child? It is sad to see the state of affairs. How I wish someone were to wave a magic wand and make them understand that a girl or boy makes no difference… After all each of us are born thanks to a lady. If we educated people begin to think like this what @ the rural uneducated masses that throng India?
PS: The adjoining image is what I picked up thanks to Google Image Search and must admit is a hard hitting one.
