Some movie this.... It is nameless
Writing from Bangalore and the city is plastered with posters of this movie which has no name. All it has is this hand symbol and people are calling it "Super" so I guess the movie is now named super. What an ugh looking hero though I am told he is a super star here, Upendra. He badly needs a barber or will give Makarand Deshpande a run for his money. No I have not yet had the gall to go watch this movie nor do I intend to but the movie is a super hit I am told. I wonder how. Yesterday heard some song of this movie in the bus here in Bangalore. And honestly made no sense to me. I am sure they would be saying the same about Hindi movies.... But well, Bollywood sure has a bigger reach than Kannada films. You can read more about it (if you have the guts) here.

Indigo's new look
My favourite, Indigo airlines has a new look in terms of the cabin crew's attire. While the dress is nice, I am surprised at the hair do. They have short hair and to add insult to injury, the air hostesses are expected to wear wigs.... The poor ladies are so conscious of it that they keep their neck stiff lest the wig fall off if they bend. Wake up Indigo. Natural hair makes much more sense than those flimsy wigs. Give up the crazy idea.
Unreliable Meru
Success seems to have gone into the heads of the powers that be at Meru. Honestly I am a big fan of Meru and have waxed eloquent about them in the past. This morning was different. I booked a cab for 0445 yesterday morning at 7 am or so. Got the confirmation SMS. This morning I waited patiently till about 0455 but no sign of a cab or even the customary SMS with the driver details. I panicked and rushed out and caught hold of the good old yellow and black cab. Made it to the airport and was among the last few to check in. I will surely rethink about booking a Meru again.
PS: Bunty confirmed to me that this was a regular thing in Bangalore. Meru better get your act in place.

Rang De Basanti
This movie was a big hit during its days but for some reason I chose not to watch it. Finally watched it on Tata Sky Video on demand over the weekend. It was an interesting take on the present day goings on and what we all feel about the political scene in the country. Of the cast I was impressed by Siddharth who is some Tamil hero or whatever. He had a very powerful role as Anupam Kher's son. Worth a watch....
